DISASTER TRAINING
"This training confirmed my plans for a career in medicine. It was a natural fit for me." Kala A.
"I hope that I never have to use what I learned. But, if I do, I'm ready." Susan G.
Volunteer USA also offers hands-on training for teens and train-the-trainer workshops in local communities. Teen Disaster Training serves as a way to prepare youth to help themselves, family members, and their community before, during and after a disaster. We know that in the vast majority of emergency situations, a bystander or another victim is the first person on site to offer emergency aid until professional rescuers arrive. When we have students properly trained before an emergency, lives can be saved and communities rebuilt.
